Aloha from Hawaii!

Through Facebook I found my bike for $50! It was listed as a parts bike, but everything is mostly there. Mostly. I have a bit of work to do before it's rideable again but I'm feeling optimistic. I have didn't get any history from the seller so I'm just taking it one step at a time. Currently I'm trying to clean out the carbs, and then I'll change the oil, add some coolant, plug in the battery, and hope for the best. Any advice would be great appreciated!

Welcome to the forum.

You are off to a good start if you got most of what you need for $50.

The petcock is often a problem if the bike was been sitting. Remove & Clean it when you are cleaning the fuel tank and the carbs.

Have fun.

WELCOME, aloha :D

first bike ? how many miles ? what's missing ?

the bike is easiest to work on if you have the original factory service manual. ;) ;)

Thanks! This is my first bike. I recently did a MSF course and scrounged around Craigslist, Facebook, etc. until I found it. It has 12k miles. I definitely need a new exhaust system and the radiator will probably need replacing soon. I think I can clean the chain, but it's looking pretty orange right now. I just bought a seat from eBay that looks to be in great condition. Thanks for the advice! I just found the manual here actually lol :D
