Bar ends

Postby boomtank » Thu Oct 15, 2015 12:26 am

Had a quick project over the weekend. Fixing the look of my bar ends.
They were badly scraped and dinged and the paint faded. So I thought what the heck. I removed them, with some effort of hammer and screwdriver method :? , and got to work.
The paint was easily removed with a wire wheel via air drill and a screwdriver through the center to hold the thing. Same method with various sanding disks and to polish.
I didnt spend too much time with it so it still shows some of the really deep gouges, but I can live with how they came out. :D

All painted up and looking pretty

I was also looking into replacing them with the lighted/turn signal ones I seen on ebay. They look like a cool ideal, but the overall design lacks interest for me.
Keep the rubber side down out there ;)
Speed never hurt anyone. It's the sudden stop at the end that does :o
