thanks, spot ! ;) great info as always. my VTR says it's an '89, but i want to see if the bad gasket i have and the replacement match exactly, or not.

just put a head back on an '86 VFR700, and, OMG !, i was advised by a former chief Honda instructor at a big school (MMI), Honda factory-trained, that i could reuse the original, undamaged gasket with some spray stuff added. i'm cheap, so i'm trying it. warmed engine ez with a heat soak or two, then went for one 3 mile test ride. not much of a test but no leaks so far. need some longer rides but weather isn't favorable now, and i have alot more projects that need fixin. :P
