Hey all, not sure where to post this so I'll put it here, did the 88-90 series ever come with a centre stand? can't find one anywhere so I'm thinking not...

I believe that it was an option here in the USA.

Being a low cost machine I doubt that many were purchased.

A few years ago I believe I bought the last one, available here, or nearly so. They turned up not vailable within a week of my purchase.

They are commonly available in Japan for cheap, but shipping rather kills the deal.

If we had someone in Japan that could round up some quantity and send them by ship it would work out well.

This is the best I've got on this.

a centrestand design and fabrication should be a nice, easy piece of chocolate cake for a tool and die maker, my Canadian friend who lives near Mosport !!

you could sell a few to owners here 4 sure !

Are part numbers necessary for the center stand?
(Diagram ID: 1) 50182-KM3-000 Guide Overflow Tube
(Diagram ID: 2) 50185-KV0-670 Plate Tube Guide
(Diagram ID: 14) 9405-006-000 Nut Flange

Also maybe there is a Main Stand Pipe that might fit from another Honda that can just be shortened?
(Diagram ID: 5) 50526-KV0-000

My guess is only the Main Stand Pipe, Center Pipe, Center Pipe Pin and Center Stand Spring are necessary?

I completed my center stand.

What I needed:
(Diagram ID: 4) 50522-KM3-000 Center Stand Spring
(Diagram ID: 3) 50500-KV0-000 Center Stand
(Diagram ID: 15) 94201-25300 Pin Split

What I made:
(Diagram ID: 5) 50526-KV0-000 Center Stand Pipe

I bought a 5/8 inch diameter stainless steel pipe. Welded a washer on one end to give it a flange. Cut the pipe length to approximately 7.25 inches. Drilled a hole on opposite side of the washer/flange for the insert of the pin split. Then I installed the center stand. You should have a 50185-KV0-670 "Plate Tube Guide" on the bike stock which I removed once I installed the center stand because I believe that just keeps your 50182-KM3-000 "Guide Overflow Tube" in place when you don't have a 50526-KV0-000 "Center Stand Pipe" installed.

If you build a centre stand, make it about 13-15 mm shorter than new. This will make it much easier to use. I shortened mine and I can lift the bike with my left hand while holding a beer in my right hand. The rear wheel is still off the ground to lube the chain.
