I'm confused as to why these big box stores are getting things wrong. Motorcycle superstore has the wrong one as well. Calirider is right about getting an incorrect lever.. it looks like our 250 interceptor brake lever to me.

INCORRECT FOR CLUTCH LEVER (looks like our brake lever)

Calirider, check here: ebay # 231089055362 for the correct lever. Or for a little more you can have those sweet knock-off adjustable break-away levers mentioned by Tom, ebay # 321218607841 and that guy is in Cali, even better.

i think i must a different clutch perch and lever altogether than. because the clutch lever i have is flat ended with the cable holder on the front end and the secured joint on the side closest to the rider. my perch is the same as the one in the original post for this thread and my clutch cable looks exactly the same as the one in the original posters comparison pictures as well as the clutch lever i received being identical to the one he received as well. If the ball end of my lever wasn't broken off id start to think some guy had pictures of my bike.
Anyways the whole perch itself seems wrong so does anyone have suggestions on a cost effective clutch lever and perch assembly that i can purchase.

sorry for being overly informative.. I provided the previous posts info to show that when you click on "clutch lever" it is actually a brake lever. It sounds to me that your bike is fitted properly. And I already included what I thought you would need, are these not correct?

first ebay option is http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motion-Pro-Clutch-Lever-fits-Honda-VTR-250-1988-1990-/231089055362

second ebay option is http://www.ebay.com/itm/Short-Brake-Clutch-Levers-HONDA-93-99-CBR-900-RR-92-07-CBR-600-F2-F3-F4-F4I-S-/321218607841

the first ebay option appears to be identical to the one i have so that would work. however I think id like to go with the short lever ones since its a set and they're shorter but the clutch lever in the picture doesn't look like it would fit. its not flat sided like the basic one. i'm hoping someone makes the flat sided on in the short lever style.

thanks for all the help by the way. im really new to all this so i need all the help i can get

They got back with me and let me know it is just a "stock photo" issue and are aware of the issue we're having. I'm assuming other bikes have this issue as well. The part # is 14-0211

This is what they sent me as being the actual lever, in the picture and what you would receive to your door: http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/partno/14-0211/

General disclaimer: I'm not endorsing, pushing, advertising or making any promises on the above product from the specific ebay store/vendor/member. Just trying to help anyone/everyone.

I just bought a clutch lever from my local Honda dealer and it is in a Honda Genuine Parts plastic bag with p/n 53170-KVO-305 printed on it. My '89 bike is in the shop so I can't compare it to the original that I bent when I knocked the bike off it's side stand a few weeks ago.

Well now,

You are golden as I see it. It is the correct P/N and is a Honda original part. How can you go wrong here?
