Are bodywork (fairing) graphics available new?

Postby gmonsen » Fri Oct 28, 2016 9:47 am

The graphics on the 1989-1990 VTR bodywork appear to be some sort of vinyl or decals. Are the 1990 graphics available anywhere new? Does Honda still have them?

Thanks,

Gordon

You should ask your dealer...
I have seen them from time to time on EBay

Spotthedog... First, are you number 72 in your avatar? Those are AirTech pieces on that. I am not sure what I will end up doing, but I did buy their front upper combined fairing and rear tail piece. I also bought perfect like new 1990 lower fairings, rear seat cowl, and belly fairing and am on the hunt for the upper side pieces. I may end up putting on the AirTech pieces and having a shop paint them to match the 1990 graphics, but think it won't look right with the stock graphics being decals. I might live with that until I can find perfect 1990 upper side pieces. I checked Cmsnl.com and David Silver Spares and neither have any bodywork. I will keep checking eBay and start calling everyone I know for the stock 1990 upper pieces.

Ah! Very nice! If I get out my handy Dremel, how hard would it be to cut an opening for the headlight in the front cowl?

Depends how straight you want it  but seriously I don't know, I would start small and sand to shape. Use you stock unit to make a paper template/tracing
