Thinking of getting a VTR250

From what i've seen over the years, $1200 seems to be the going price for a '90 in good riding condition and missing no parts. Surprising that no mileage was listed. :?

I should probably post back but I didn't get the bike. I really really wanted it but I made the decision that ill be better off without it. Damn, why can't I have the stupid spending habits like other teenagers :( A thousand dollars is still a thousand dollars that can go elsewhere.

Anyone feel free to get the bike. I still saw it sitting outside saturday.

Folks,

If it wasn't a two day driving task to collect this I would be on it quick. Well I would if Pigsinspace could confirm that it is running well and that second gear is good.

I'm just too old to go through all of that for one of these.

If you want me to, I can try and see if I could still take for a test ride and make sure all is well. I can take some up close photos of everything as well. Of course, I would just like to know that you would actually be interested in making a couple day journey for the bike. Im waiting for my new job to start up in February so I am not really doing anything and would always be glad to help someone out.

Pigsinspace,

Thank you for the kind offer.

I just don't have the ambition to make the trip.

I wouldn't mind making the trip down. I would be able to get rid of my gpz and it would give me an excuse to go down to cali. My only issue is that to my current knowledge, you can't tow another bike with a zx6r :D

Many many years ago I once used a Kawasaki KT250 trials bike to tow my broken down Honda 400/4 the ten miles home. It was all working fine until my friend on the 400/4 stopped paying attention and ran the front wheel over the tow rope. When he spotted his mistake he panic braked sending the rope taut again and whipping the front wheel out from under him. Result, a few more scratches on the Honda but thankfully no serious damage to either bike or friend.
