Is the vtr Rare?

Postby blackVTR » Fri Sep 25, 2015 6:56 pm

I don't see any around BC Vancouver. And was wondering how rare our rides are. How were made?

Plus is anyone going to the oyster run this run

I'm not sure how rare these bikes are, but I heard that most, if not all Canadian VTR250s from 1988-90 made their way here from the US, but I'm not sure if that's true or not. Mine, for one, was originally from the US (Minnesota) and still has the speedo in MPH.

Oyster run? I had to google it and it sounds like fun, but I can't take my VTR for such a long haul. 45 min to an hour is my limit, I think, due to my height. (6'1"). I'm always on the lookout for similar bikes in the okanagan, but so far no luck. I have seen some pretty rare ones, including an early 1970s BMW boxer, and a 1985 or 1986 GSXR.

Since it was only US- imported 3 years in small numbes and probably alot fewer in Canada, yes, it's a rare bike. ;)
