HJC FS-15 Air Snarl helmet quick review

Got the HJC FS-15 Air Snarl helmet last night and tried it out on both bikes today.

http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street/cl ... elmet.html

It fits nicely and is a snugger fit than my HJC CL-16 (both small size).
It is noticeably quieter than the CL-16 and cooler. Perhaps because you can leave the visor open at the bottommost opening. In fact, with the visor lock closed there is a bit of booming that goes away when opened the minor amount. The ear pockets feel deeper than on the CL-16.

Now to mention the Chrome finish!!. I was not prepared for all that chrome!! It should get me noticed
I could do without the figures (snarling somethings), but the total package grows on me to the point that I am planning to make this helmet the one for primary use.

At $99, it is a keeper.

The helmet previous to my Arai XD3 was a KBC Vector. The helmet shape appears to be vary similar to the Air Snarl. I found it to be nice and quiet and it flowed air well with the visor slightly cracked (just as you said). I also like the shape, it seems to cut thru the air effectively with little buffeting. And, it's light-weight to boot. Nice find.

It would appear that my old KBC and your new HJC use the same visors. Since my KBC is "retired", you're welcome to my clear & dark smoke visors (so you have a spare clear one and a smoke one, if you don't have one already). Let me know if you're interested.

Welcome to the forum. I'm pretty sure that model has been out of production for a while now.
