Is the site dead?

Postby Barbie & Skipper » Wed Mar 25, 2020 9:46 am

We've had a spammer attack in Other Bikes for some time now with no response.

Are there any moderators / site operators left?

I'm not here everyday, but have enjoyed the site for years and hate to see it overrun by spam.

No problem guys, four more already. There must be a way to put an approval step on new members?

I don't know how to do it, but on some similar-looking sites, users are automatically blocked from posting hyperlinks until they have both a certain number of posts and a required time has passed since joining. New users lose posting privileges if they post "too many" times in too short of a time frame.

Again, I don't know how to implement the features, but I believe they may be part of the package, and just need to be activated.

These are unique users and must be deleted one by one, we need a screening step in the registration as it’s done by bots.
