Restoration Finished

Postby dendeel » Wed Dec 04, 2019 1:37 pm

We have finally finished the restoration of our 1990 VTR, we saved the bike from a scrap yard 6 years ago, we kept it tucked away in our storage shelter for 5 years and started on it about a year ago. the young man in the pictures is my Little Brother, I'm a Big Brothers with Big Brothers and Sisters, he and I did all the work, with him doing most of the wrenching, I did the painting and we finished it with a set of decals from MX-decals.net As you can imagine the carbs were pretty plugged up, thank goodness we have an ultrasonics tank to clean them up...I got to take it for a quick ride before the snow came and it's a sweet little bike, I'm looking forward to April and a chance to take it for a bit longer ride before we put it up for sale. Our next project is a basket case VF500F which we are finishing in Mick Doohan's Rothmans Honda livery

Exellent !
Thanks for being such a great Big Brother!
Congrats to the wrencher! It can be a challenge with a junker-turned-ridable !! I know how that goes, lol.

And thank you both for saving another little VTR !!

That looks freakin dope you guys. What a great job.
If I may suggest, you can take the blue sticker of the windshield with an airblower and then replace it with some orange vinyl or something.

Actually we painted over the blue with orange so it wraps around now, looks much better
