Carb jets

With carb bowl off, there is the main jet, the slow jet and there is another tube sticking down. What is that tube for. Can't seem to find a reference in the manual. Thanks Mark

Wouldn't that be the emulsion tube?

What does that do? When I blow through it, it seems to go up to the choke hole. Also there is a small hole just above where it is seated that is angled down in the casting? Mine is plugged and I'm use I got an old torn apart carb to investigate. Thanks, Mark

long, non-removable tube feeds fuel to the starting enrichment circuit, and if air moves through it, it's clean. ;) small hole next to it holds the idle jet and its path into the venturi, just in front of the throttle plates. very doubtful that hole is plugged, but likely the jet is clogged. soaking and probing with a steel wire is what's needed to clear the slow jet holes.
